Putting sustainability on the menu

Sometimes, if we see a real need for something and it doesn’t exist, we create it. No better way to make it happen. That’s how the Sustainable Restaurant Association came about. We knew people wanted to eat at great restaurants while also feeling reassured about things like where the food comes from and how the restaurant is run and where the waste goes.

So we created the SRA, a not for profit initiative which aims to make UK restaurants global leaders in sustainability. We continue to advise on the strategy and management of the organisation, and support its campaigns to change the face of the restaurant industry. Check out its most recent campaign, “Too Good to Waste”, encouraging diners to ask restaurants to pack up their leftovers to take away.
