This week we’ve published our call to action to businesses to help make the pandemic history. We believe the business community should stand up and act in unity to help vaccinate the world. At the moment, only 9.5% of the world’s population has had at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. While the US, the UK and other high-income companies are on track to deliver vaccines to all adults who want them in the coming months, dozens of the world’s poorest countries have not inoculated a single person.
Saving lives needs no additional justification. But our focus is on why this is business’s responsibility, and how we can help you design a response that will make employees feel they’re part of something that will change the course of history, and bring partners and consumers along on a shared journey. All while delivering what the IMF describes as the investment likely to deliver the greatest financial return in modern history.
