This week brings good news from the world of community-powered change. SBF GB&I, the makers of some of the UK’s most iconic drinks including Ribena and Lucozade, has launched Together for Good: SBF GB&I Community Fund, and we’ve had the pleasure of working with them to bring it to life.
What makes this initiative exciting isn’t just the £250,000 available this year across Coleford in Gloucestershire and Uxbridge in West London, or the £2.5 million commitment through to 2030. It’s the shift in how corporate giving works. Instead of deciding centrally what communities need, SBF GB&I is using Crowdfunder to open the process to the people who live there. Crowdfunder is host to multiple local projects with community support, speaking to real local need. By match-funding through its platform, SBF GB&I can channel funds to create real local impact.
Eligible groups can apply for up to £10,000 to regenerate green spaces, support mental and physical wellbeing, connect young people with nature, strengthen social inclusion through creativity, sport or culture, and so much more. These are hyper-local projects rooted in lived experience, shaped by people who understand their neighbourhoods and can spot opportunities others might miss. By match funding through Crowdfunder, SBF GB&I isn’t just providing funds; it’s amplifying the power of the community.
So, if you know a brilliant community project in Coleford or Uxbridge that could benefit from extra support, now’s the moment. Check out Together for Good: SBF GB&I Community Fund page on Crowdfunder and help local ideas grow.
