30th anniversary
Creating the Sustainability Leaders Panel
17 April, 2026
We know that making transformative sustainability-related change happen isn’t easy. The challenges we all work through every day with our clients are some of the biggest, knottiest and more pressing that there are, and there is often little to no blueprint on how to approach them.
These are not problems anyone can solve alone, yet many corporate sustainability leaders work in relative isolation. Few have big teams, regular access to subject-matter experts or peers and mentors to learn with and from. But each of these sustainability professionals is likely grappling with the same types of problems, from navigating regulation to board engagement to what happens when you reach the end of the “easy win” list and have to start tackling the big challenges.
We realised that for many of our clients, our ability to shine a light on these shared challenges and reassure them that they weren’t the only ones navigating these issues was almost as important as the advice and guidance we provided to them. We identified a clear need and opportunity to create a forum for sustainability leaders to connect with one another, share experiences, and work through difficult challenges in a safe space.
That’s why, in 2024, with our partners Echo Research and Mishcon de Reya, we created the Sustainability Leaders Panel
In the past two years, the Panel has become a vibrant network of more than 100 global senior sustainability leaders. Twice a year, panellists contribute anonymous perspectives on a specific topic, which so far have covered topics including how companies structure and resource sustainability teams, the impact of reporting regulation, engaging the board and how to maximise the impact of sustainability. They then come together to discuss the findings, compare notes, and share what has worked for them in practice at our breakfast events.
As the network grows, so does the potential for collective impact. This summer, we’re introducing virtual roundtables focused on timely, high-priority topics, creating more opportunities to connect, learn and problem-solve together. Sustainability isn’t easy, but working together makes the challenges we face easier to overcome.
