Something ewe need

Summer’s over; colder temperatures are coming, and this time with soaring energy prices and a cost-of-living crisis. It’s got us thinking about lower-cost energy savings we can deploy at home.
Although we’re not best placed to tell you how to save energy, we can use the Goods slot to draw your attention to great and ethical products that can help you do so.
Chimney Sheep’s best-selling product, the ‘Chimney Sheep Draught Excluder’ is an environmentally conscious draught stopper, made from sustainably farmed British sheep’s wool. A Chimney Sheep claims to stop approximately 5% of household heat from escaping, reducing your heating bill by about £177 per year on average. It works its magic by plugging the gap just above your fireplace, helping to reduce bills, wind noise and even air pollution (just remember to take it out if you light your fire, although the handy handle is a good visual reminder of this).
The woolly chimney plugs will fit into chimneys of all shapes and sizes and are an accredited product that prevents chimneys from sucking all that precious air out of your home. Of course, sustainable choices don’t necessarily have to come with a price tag, and a Chimney Sheep can be replaced with household items such as spare towels or pillows if you want to stop up gaps without forking out for something specifically designed for the purpose.
