A formal invitation to…
22 October, 2021
Do you have plans for 4th November? No? Well, you do now.
As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, one of our partners, NetZeroNow, which is focused on enabling SMEs to go net zero – you guessed it – NOW, is putting together a day of activities at the Drygate brewery in Glasgow on 4th November to coincide with Cop 26.
The aim of the day is to bring together various sectors and perspectives to think through and discuss some of the key challenges in going net zero, and – importantly – formulate a plan to act.
It’s going to be fun. For starters, there’ll be an update on progress with the net zero hospitality initiative, launched in July. There will be discussions on brewing net zero beer (and a selection of Toast’s specially curated climate first beers on tap for tasting), discussions around the role of larger businesses in supporting their SME supply chain to move to net zero, and thoughts on how we can finance the net zero revolution.
All of this on offer alongside sustainable food from the local SRA (the Sustainable Restaurant Association) community, how tech can enable a net zero future from Tech Nation, a climate bookshop and signings with Mark Maslin, and music and comedy from the heart of Glasgow. What more you could you want?!
And they said going net zero wouldn’t be fun…
If you would like to come along, please let Rachel know. We look forward to seeing you there!
